This past Saturday night at IC, the global BBYO community came together for an unforgettable evening of reflection, celebration, and inspiration at the Shofar BBYO HONORS: Havdalah, State of the Movement & Awards Gala. The night marked a powerful moment to honor the impact of our movement, recognize the leaders shaping our future, and recommit to our mission.

The evening began with a moving Havdalah, symbolizing the transition from Shabbat to the week with a limitless horizon. With voices joined in song and the flicker of the Havdalah candle, we embraced the power of tradition and the strength of our global movement.

Following Havdalah, we turned our attention to the State of the Movement, a moment to reflect on where we’ve been, celebrate where we are, and envision where we’re headed. The 100/80th Grand and International Boards took the stage to highlight the incredible growth and success during their term. From record-breaking International convention attendance to J-serve, the message was clear: our movement is alive and well. Through stories of leadership, innovation, and the unwavering spirit of Alephs and BBGs worldwide, we were reminded of the power we hold.

The plenary finished with the Awards Gala, where we recognized the individuals who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to BBYO. From standout chapter advisors to alumni, each award recipient represented the very best of our movement.

Beyond the awards and speeches, what made the night truly special was the feeling of unity. Whether in person or tuning in from across the world, every attendee felt the deep connection that binds us together as one BBYO family. The night wasn’t just a celebration—it was a reminder of why we do what we do, and a call to action to keep building, leading, and strengthening the movement we love.

As we look ahead, we carry with us the lessons, and the memories, to use in our home communities. BBYO is more than an organization—it’s a movement powered by passion, tradition, and the relentless drive of young Jewish leaders. And after a night like this, the future has never looked like its horizons had any less limits.
