AZA & BBG
Hey AZA & BBG! We are super excited to be sharing our first officer report of the year! If you don’t know us (yet), we're Will Schecter from Gainesville, Florida, and Abby Bluestein from Charleston, South Carolina. Join us for a peek at the start of our year as the International Morim.
We had an amazing start to the term at International Board Retreat in Washington, DC back in June. From planning for Summer 2025 and setting goals for new chapters to even bowling at the White House, it was the experience of a lifetime. We had so much fun bonding with 180 while everyone prepared for the term.
Moving into this summer! Will had the most incredible experience at International Kallah 2024. Over the course of three weeks, he was able to explore Judaism in different ways, in an experience that was specifically curated toward his interests. He also spent time with members of the executive body and the Morim network! Unfortunately, Abby couldn’t go on a summer experience, but she had so much fun with her kiddos at Jewish sleepaway camp—all while receiving amazing reviews of Passport trips, CLTC, ILTC, and Kallah. The Morim network absolutely killed it this summer: 13 Morim went to ILTC, 13 went to Kallah, and 5 went full Perlman, not to mention the countless others who went on BBYO Passport and CLTC. It's safe to say the Morim network had a fantastic summer learning and, of course, having fun!
Andddd going along with summer, we have CLTC! We have a couple of main priorities with CLTC this summer. We want to focus on expanding CLTC to every community and chapter so Alephs and BBGs can experience the magic of a BBYO summer experience. Over the next few weeks, along with Dan and Joelle, we are so excited to start planning for CLTC with an amazing group of coordinators. We are so ready to start planning an EPIC CLTC for summer 2025! We can’t wait to be back at Perlman Camp and share the space with both ILTC and Kallah for the first time in 20 years while still having our unique program. So spread the word because CLTC 2025 will be the biggest and best yet!
With ILN applications coming to a close, the second year of the Chapter Founders Cohort is back and better than ever. Along with staff who specialize in small communities, we are working hard at strengthening the cohort, where leaders will gain the tools and information they need to build new thriving chapters all around our international order. We are excited to help them grow their chapters and continue to advance their BBYO journey after achieving the incredible milestone of getting chartered or helping them reach that chartering point. There might even be a leadership training conference in this group's future!
Finally, a huge shoutout to our counterparts from Red River, PWR, GAR, and Michigan for already planning and starting an incredible year! We cannot wait to see everything the Morim network accomplishes this year, and we know that it will be filled with so many #MORIMWINS!
