On Sunday, IC teens who are not participating in elections disperse from the convention center for sightseeing. From the rodeo to the aquarium, there’s a lot to explore in Dallas. My sightseeing attraction was a food tour throughout the city. Our first stop was the Dallas Farmers market, where we had Italian empanadas filled with beef, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce invaded in a fried shell.
Rating 5/10: Good filling, soggy shell.
Throughout the markets, there was live music, many small businesses, and people everywhere. Our next stop was Rodeo Goat for cheeseburgers and fries. The entire restaurant was decorated in goats themed items, from posters on the wall to fake goat heads.
Rating 6/10: Great flavor, but the fries were soggy.
For dessert and our last stop, we went to Popiclés and had gourmet popsicles. I got the white chocolate berry base, white chocolate dipping, and coconut topping. My sister got the ferrero rocher base with white chocolate dipping.
Rating 6/10: Amazing flavor and customizable
Along our trip, not only did we try amazing food from small local businesses, but we saw the beautiful city of Dallas.
