Last Fall, I accidentally posted on my public Snapchat story (which is never active) a snap I meant to send to my friend in which I wrote, “No way BBYO has a Roblox club?! Actually what.” with a picture of the BBYO insider post promoting the BBYO Roblox club. A few minutes later, a girl I added from an IC group chat, Dani, swipes up on it. I came to find out she was the head of the Roblox Club, and I felt extremely bad. Bad enough that I decided to join their call. Going into the call, I was really worried about what I was about to get myself into, but once I joined, I realized that the leaders of it were super sweet and great people.
On this call, we ended up barely playing Roblox, but instead chatting and talking about BBYO and our experiences. I learned about many of the members' times on CLTC and got excited for my CLTC this upcoming summer. They helped me get excited for my summer and told me ways to optimize my 12 days.
I kept joining the club's meeting, where I learned more about the ILN and just how big and interconnected BBYO is. As the year passed, I was introduced to my future CLTC friends and many other friends through this club. Friends I wouldn’t have made in any other situation.
Looking back, I am so glad I made this mistake and that I joined this club. Now I am the co-leader of the BBYO Roblox club and hope that it becomes a way for others to make new friends and learn about how limitless the possibilities are in BBYO. Make sure to join our next club meeting!
