Dealing with an election loss can be challenging. Here are some tips to help cope with the situation:

Acknowledge your feelings: It's okay to feel disappointed, frustrated, or even angry. Recognize accept your emotions instead of suppressing them.

Talk it out with friends: Talking about disappointment can help make someone feel better. This also helps to manage expectations.

Stay engaged even though you're not on board: There are still many things you can do. This can help for future planning and future opportunities.

Focus on the positive: You still put yourself out there which was the hardest part. This is still a success for recognizing and putting yourself out there.

Remember, an election does not define who you are: You can still help in any way you want even if you don’t have a title. Go for it again and never let a loss define you.
