In October of last year, I discovered I would serve as one of the four Programming Administrative Assistants for IC 2024. I worked with teens to plan separates, onegs, senior and freshman experiences, and more. I went to IC Advance Week and met so many teens from around the world that I wouldn’t have met otherwise.
In December, I was elected as NTO’s 40th Regional Mazkirah. I have loved my experience in this position so far. Being able to support my region by doing what I love most has been so much fun.
In late May, I was elected as my chapter’s N’siah for the upcoming fall term. I also became a chapter sweetheart for the AZA chapter in Tulsa. I’m so excited to help teens in Tulsa have the best BBYO experience possible, and can’t wait to see what this year will bring.
Last summer, I spent four weeks at Perlman at ILTC and Kallah. Despite having to leave early, I had such an amazing experience. At ILTC, I learned new recruitment techniques and promotion methods to bring back to my chapter and region. At Kallah, I was able to connect more with my Jewish identity.
Maren Hettler is a BBG from Nona Bloch Salomon in NTO and she loves olives!
