We need a healthy balance between extracurriculars and school. Maintaining this balance is key. First, we need to set goals, like why we do something and how to do it. This will help with stress. Then, we need to create a schedule. Scheduling ensures we aren't overworking ourselves or overbooking. If we are overworked, we aren't really focusing on anything. We can plan our weeks by including personal activities, sports, and clubs.
Communication is key to everything. We can get overwhelmed easily, but by staying in contact with people, we know what we have to do and how to do it. Prioritize yourself. Yes, clubs and sports are important, but if you can't focus, then you can't give your best to them. When possible, ask for help. If someone else can do what you need to do, then ask for help and share responsibilities. Not everything will go as planned, so stay flexible.
Sometimes things get canceled or something unexpected comes up. It’s okay to tell someone that you aren't available or aren't able to make it. Always use your time wisely and stay effective with what you need to do. Learn to say no. Taking on too much will lead to burnout faster. It is okay to say you can't do something for someone if you have too much to do.
