Packing for IC can be extremely stressful, so I decided to help take a little off your plates and give some helpful ideas. I’ve reached out to a bunch of BBGs and AZAs around the order, along with looking back on my list from last year, to create the ULTIMATE packing guide with things that you may not think of, find on the spirit guide, or listed on the FAQ page.

First some tips:

  • BRING A PORTABLE CHARGER!! Either your phone or your friends' phone will die at some point during all the chaos, you don’t want to be caught with a dead phone or sitting against the wall waiting for your phone to charge!
  • OVERPACK! If you are debating between bringing a few things you consider necessary, bring them! Once at IC, you don’t want to wish you had brought something that you decided not to bring. You will always be able to find a friend willing to take some of your extra suitcase weight, or you will find a bag at ic to make into an extra carry-on! But you can't go and buy whatever you might have debated on bringing during IC as everyone will be limited to the designated areas!
  • LEAVE ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE/BRING AN EXTRA BAG FOR CARRY-ON! There are thousands of opportunities to purchase BBYO merch, get free gifts, etc., and you will go home with more than you came with!
  • CHECK THE SPIRIT GUIDE! The spirit guide provides a more in-depth look into the day-to-day attire at IC! You don’t want to be the only one in your region miss-matching!

Things you might want to pack:

  • Merch from your region to trade with international friends
  • Snacks for in between meals or at night
  • Gum
  • Speaker
  • Deodorant or perfume/cologne
  • Digital camera
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Comfy clothes and shoes to wear around the hotel
  • DON'T FORGET THE CRAFTS!! Things like crayons, markers, sticker books, cards, card games, string, sidewalk chalk, and/or bubbles!
  • Curling iron/straightener, Florida is HUMID
  • Bandaids for blisters
  • Hair ties, you don’t want your hair blowing everywhere while you're on a rollercoaster
  • Mini fan, sometimes it can get hot in crowded areas
  • Sanitary products (it's always good to have extras!)
