J-Serve is BBYO’s annual day of Jewish Youth service. Since 2005, J-Serve has been a global event around the movement helping to support our community and beyond. This year, J-Serve took place on April 14th, and regions around the world are working to raise awareness and give tzedakah to the Stand-Up cause of their choice, in order to better the lives of others and carry out Tikkun Olam, which is a core pillar of BBYO. Supporting J-Serve is so meaningful in so many different ways.
Whether it’s making kits of school supplies to give children the opportunity to go to school with the things they need or supporting the IDF by making care packages and sending messages to soldiers, however you and your region support J-serve is significant and valuable in certain ways. Giving back to others and helping people around the world is such an important part of being Jewish, and especially now more than ever, good deeds are so important, benefiting others and ourselves. Seeing the positive impact J-Serve puts on others around us, and the joy in giving back brings, is something incredible to see. So if you have the chance, attend J-Serve and make a difference, making this world a better place. Even in a region so small, the result of the kind actions of giving back can be endless.
