While in the spirit of Thanksgiving, my chapter and our sister chapter decided to host a joint event. Throughout the event, we participated in fun ice breakers along with eating delicious foods and desserts thanks to both chapter boards. From the instant I walked through the doors, I knew this was going to be an event to remember. Instantaneously, I was swarmed by warmth and joy from the hugs and smiles everyone gave me.

My chapter, like all chapters in my region, has a brother chapter. Our chapter is special compared to other chapters because we have a sister chapter as well. I believe that sister chapters are useful because they introduce you to new friends who can serve as a support system for you.

Even though my chapter does not host many co-chapter events, they are still a great way for me to meet more people than I would have before. Everyone who goes to chapter events does not always go to regional events as well and housing co-chapter events is a more relaxed way of meeting new people in a smaller environment.

For someone a bit more on the introverted side, I love having co-chapter events and meeting people through them. I enjoy meeting people this way because they are more relaxed and casual in comparison to regional events. Regional events can be much more stressful and overwhelming and it can be hard to find people you know at these events in comparison to co-chapter ones.
