While IC can be one of the best weeks of your life it can also be one of the most overwhelming. Between all of the excitement of celebrities and unique programs there can feel like very little down time to just breathe. This one of a kind experience is a lot to take in at once. As someone going into my second IC, I wanted to make a list of resources on where people can go for any essentials they need to maximize their experience! This resource guide is for you to use throughout your IC time whenever you need something and are unsure of where to go.
First place on the list is the Welcome Center! This place can help you out with any surface level needs during IC. This could be things like visiting the lost and found, confirming & editing travel information, and replacing a broken nametag. Also, if you're interested in getting some cool banners to add to your nametag, this is the place to check out!
Where can you actually go when you need a calm space? Well there’s actually two options! The first one is the Quiet Room. This room is for when you just need a break from all the commotion around you. This space will give you a cozy spot with comfortable seating designed to make you feel your best. On top of this, there will be a Wellness Specialist stationed there. They will be there for you if you ever need someone to talk to and they always have your best interest in mind.
The second space you could visit is the Zen Zone. While in the Quiet Room you have to stay well…quiet, the Zen Zone is perfect when you need a relaxing space with your friends! They often have wellness and mental health inspired activities happening throughout IC. Come here any time you need a calm space to quietly chat with friends
A key spot to never forget about is the Wellness Center. This is the place to go any time you don’t feel well at IC. There are plenty of trained medical professionals ready to support you with anything you need. They will do everything they can to ensure you can make the most of your time at IC while staying healthy and safe.
While this isn’t a physical spot, one of the most helpful resources is the IC app! Anytime you ever feel lost at IC you can open up the app to easily find a map of the whole hotel. If you're also ever wondering what's happening, there is an easily found schedule is in the app! These two key elements will ensure you never feel confused on anything during your convention experience. Not to mention, if you're ever feeling hungry for some late-night food, BBYO offers food pick up before bed, so place your order on the app.
Hope you all enjoy these resources and enjoy your time at IC 2026!
