Hello Omaha 👋! In just a few short days, for the first time ever, AZA and BBG will be heading back to where our Movement was founded in Omaha, Nebraska for its annual International August Executives Conference. August Execs is one of two times during the year that the International Executive Body (community presidents or head delegates) will meet to strengthen our movement and our home communities, pass legislation, engage in different workshops, plan for the year ahead, and so much more.
This year's August Execs holds a special meaning for our Movement. It is the kickstart to our 100th-year celebration, and there is no better way to kick off our year than the exact same city where Sam Beber and the 14 brave boys took a risk and brought this Movement to life.
Some of the top activities on the schedule for this amazing conference include TJ and Courtney’s inaugural address and installations at the Omaha JCC (which you can watch here on Wednesday at 9 PM ET), International Business Meeting, Movement Launch, Road to 100, Shabbat, 5th Annual Shofar Live, and so much more. Personally, I’m very excited about the expertise areas where I’ll get to become an expert in certain areas that’ll really help benefit my region and the different opportunities to learn from my peers on what works well in their communities.
The most exciting part of August Execs is the many different ways teens from around the world can keep up with all August Execs has to offer right from home. Make sure to stay up to date and follow along for daily Snapchat and Instagram takeovers (on @bbyoinsider), daily TikToks and live Twitter updates (also on @bbyoinsider 😊), more Shofar articles and BBYO’s Table Talk Podcast (wherever you get your podcasts) all done by all different teens. These updates and videos will be coming fast and often, so don’t blink twice 🙈! Here’s to the start of an amazing 100-year celebration! 🥳💯
See ya soon and catch ya in Omaha ✌️✈️!
